Our team
Sébastien Longhurst
Co-founder and Partner
Sébastien is a sworn conference interpreter and translator. He has a master’s degree in political studies and international development cooperation. He works as an interpreter for several international organizations, governments, film festivals, publishing houses, and universities. He is a member of the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC), the American Association of Language Specialists (TAALS), and the Colombian Association of Conference Interpreters (ACIC).
Jonathan Romero
Partner and Manager
After studying economics, Jonathan has worked for social organizations, which led him to develop a strong vocation of service. He started working for Lingua Viva in 2015. He is responsible for the company’s administration and operation. Currently, he is studying a postgraduate degree in strategic business management at the Sergio Arboleda University.
Diana Cantor
Diana has a bachelor’s degree in philology and languages, a postgraduate degree in text translation, and a master’s in audiovisual translation. She is a computer-assisted translation technology enthusiast, which she teaches at university. Independent research is another one of her interests, and she has spoken at several international events. She has been coordinating our translation services since 2019.
Claudia Alarcón
Administrative Analyst
Claudia has an associate’s degree in administrative management and is an industrial engineer. She gathered her experience working in assistant positions for civil engineering, ephemeral architecture, and telecommunications companies. She started working for Lingua Viva in 2016.
Juan Carlos Cerón
Accountant
Juan is a certified public accountant. He has experience in credit risk, financial counseling, and treasury. He has been a part of the Lingua Viva team since 2016.
Emily Laycock
Emily, originally from Texas, has a master’s degree in international relations and a postgraduate degree in international financial accounting. She started translating in 2014, focusing on international organizations, NGOs, government institutions, and the education sector. She joined the Lingua Viva team in 2018 as a translator and editor.
